[MPlayer-users] More subtitle woes

Okay, the windows binary currently being offered on mplayerhq.hu correctly 
selects subtitles from extracted DVD VOBs.

But it doesn't listen to -colorkey and there are changes in behaviour with 
the slave-mode brightness, contrast and saturation controls which I haven't 
had time to characterise yet.

Is there some definitive version I should be using which doesn't have this 
unfortunate tendency to fail in previously-working code?
