[MPlayer-users] Dump of DVD 5,4 GB, why not 4,7 GB?

Hi,

I dumped a DVD with mplayer -dumpstream. The output exactly has 
5425139712 Bytes. Shouldn't a DVD only be capable of storing 4,7 GB? It 
is not a dual layer disc. Was the data somehow compressed on the disc?
