[MPlayer-users] subtitles - bug or bad DVD?

Hi,

I rented "Gosford Park" yesterday and I think mplayer behaves strange.
In combination with the "Gosford Park" DVD, because I have not had this
problem with other DVD:s.

"mplayer -dvd 1 -v" gives me this:

[open] audio stream: 0 audio format: ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 128
[open] audio stream: 1 audio format: ac3 (5.1) language: en aid: 129
[open] audio stream: 2 audio format: ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 130
[open] audio stream: 3 audio format: ac3 (stereo) language: en aid: 131
[open] number of audio channels on disk: 4.
[open] subtitle ( sid ): 0 language: da
[open] subtitle ( sid ): 1 language: fi
[open] subtitle ( sid ): 2 language: no
[open] subtitle ( sid ): 3 language: sv
[open] number of subtitles on disk: 4

I wanted swedish subtitles, so I tried "mplayer -dvd 1 -slang sv".
Then I got finnish subtitles. And "-slang fi" gave me norweigan subtitles,
"-slang no" gave me finnish subtitles (I think, or maybe icelandic,
what do I know). I also tried "-sid <n>" where n is from 0 to 3, but that
gave me the same results.

The DVD box tells me that subtitles should be present in
Danish, Swedish, Norweigan, Finnish and Icelandic languages.
That's five (5), mplayer tells me that 4 are present.

After studying the output of "mplayer -dvd 1 -v" a bit more:

==> Found subtitle: 3:  0.006 ct:  0.162  628/628  40% 36%  3.7% 0 0 0%
==> Found subtitle: 2
==> Found subtitle: 5
==> Found subtitle: 4:  0.011 ct:  0.162  630/630  40% 36%  3.7% 0 0 0%
==> Found subtitle: 1
==> Found subtitle: 0
==> Found subtitle: 7:  0.022 ct:  0.164  631/631  40% 36%  3.8% 0 0 0%
==> Found subtitle: 6: -0.004 ct:  0.164  633/633  40% 36%  3.7% 0 0 0%

So I tried "mplayer -dvd 1 -sid 7", and yes - swedish subtitles.
MPlayer-0.90-rc4 and rc5 both act this way. What's up?
