[MPlayer-users] Vobsub format .IFO files no longer needed

In the later VobSub formats, only the .idx and .sub files are required. I believe the .ifo information is now stored in the .idx file. Will mplayer support this? I remember someone posting to the list back in March about this. I wonder if there has been any progress?
