But there is GATOS, it provides Xv for mach64. It speeds up mplayer a lot.

No SMP support planned. It ha sno sense, as the bottleneck is bus bandwith,
and it can't be made wider with smp support...
SMP could be only usefull for postprocessing, but it's not planned.
(too hard to impelment and still limited by common memory bandwith)
