Just a guess about frustration:

#1: first reply was an insult (with apologizes afterwards but that's
not the problem)
#2: this tiny patch is needed by vf_overlay/vf_outbuf which is already
vf_bmovl2 evolution (which itself is evolution of vf_bmovl) that
Tack's trying to get merged without success fro more than 2 years now.

So yes, I have an idea where the frustration might come ;-)

Now, if you want motivation for vf_overlay inclusion: "Hey Guillaume
it comes with MMX optimizations but no AltiVec ones, you'll be able to
port it to to extend your valuable skills, that's a great opportunity
;-)" or "Hey xine supports it, we have to do at least the same" :p
