iam not complaining about how it was done for soc2006, for that there simply
was too little time to think about anything like the repo structures but
for 2007 i definitly would like to have branches instead of repositries for
the projects, that way the complete history of the files would be preserved
speaking of branches, maybe they could also simplify the merging of some
of the more complex patches for mplayer? the big advantage is that
several people could work on a patch without any risk for the main branch
