Out of curiosity, why are you so interested in encoding qt? IMHO it's
a very bad thing, it just makes for more movie files encoded with
crappy proprietary codecs that can only be played on x86 with the
binary qtx stuff.

IMHO, a much better way to spend your time would be running the qtx
decoders (now that mplayer can use them) through the debugger a lot
and reverse engineering Sorensen 3, then writing en/decoder for lavc.
Or if you're willing to spend (lots of) money (which you seem to be
considering), a better approach might just be bribing an insider for
specs then implementing it for lavc. :))
