I completely forgot about that problem. You need to get the
file64_mingw.diff patch from http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php,
otherwise MPlayer can not work correctly with files > 2 GB (or 4 GB, not
sure which).

(Note this modifies your MinGW installation, not MPlayer).
