Hmm. Agreed. As far as I can see it gets completely rid of the main
loop, so you will have to do A-V sync yourself - I don't think that
leaves much reason not to just use ffmpeg (i.e. libavformat and libavcodec)
instead, maybe with the addition of libvo and libao...
