You are right, the requested tracks are played back. I just wanted to 
point out another strange behaviour in the console output to give you 
another hint where to look for the cause of the messed up console output.
For my cd burning device, speed=2 and cache=1024 yields good results, 
though I have not tested values between

1024 (perfectplayback)
and
200 (too small, stuttering playback)

yet to come up with the minimum cache for my system for fluid audio 
playback.
Thanks for the tip with more cache anyways.
