Hi Chris

Actually I am using the mingw32-dev-CVS-030422.zip. But as I could not find
a mailinglist for the mingw-port, I subscribed to the cygwin-list.
Registering the dlls failed. I tryed Regsvr32.exe /i
"C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\RealCodecs\cook3260.dll"
There just came an error message:
RegSvr32
C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\RealCodecs\cook3260.dll was loaded, but
DllUnregisterServer entry point was not found.
DllUnregisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of
C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\RealCodecs\cook3260.dll may be in memory.
Consider using PView to detect and remove it.

Nevertheless mplayer.exe from the mingw-port is able to use the real dlls in
the subfolder \codecs when there is another real-dll called pncrt.dll next
to it (next to the mplayer.exe, not in \codecs!)
Don't ask me how he knows that it is there. If I use logic, then mplayer.exe
tries to load codecs\drv43260.dll which itself needs to load pncrt.dll, but
why pncrt.dll can't be loaded while being next to drv43260.dll, I don't
know!

Ciao sagt Stefan

> Well, assuming you're running mplayer on cygwin (which you should be given
the list ;), you run the commands I listed in the previous email in a
Windows run box. Afterwards, the DLL's should (emphasis here is most
assuredly on should) be registered properly with windows. You should then be
able to use them with mplayer, if this is indeed how it is finding them.

installing RealOne or the Producer software or anything like that.. :-)
