Subject: [MPlayer-users] problem when recoding subtitles in recent cvs snapshot?

hi
i have quite new cvs build:
Using GNU internationalization
Original domain: messages
Original dirname: /usr/share/locale
Current domain: mplayer
Current dirname: /opt/mplayer//share/locale

MPlayer CVS-021010-17:37-2.95.4 (C) 2000-2002 Arpad Gereoffy (zobacz DOCS)

CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Duron MG Morgan (Family: 6, Stepping: 0)
MMX2 supported but disabled
3DNow supported but disabled
3DNowExt supported but disabled
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 0 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Skompilowane dla x86 CPU z rozszerzeniami: MMX

everything works great with one small problem.
i have subtitles encoded in windows cp-1250, but my fonts are iso8859-2.
with previous build i just did -subcp cp1250 and it worked fine.
now it doesn't. more: it converts *all* national characters to "_"
chars. even the ones that have the same code in both: cp1250 and
iso8859-2.

is this some kind of know problem which will evaporate soon, or is
something bad happening to my machine?
hand-converting using iconv works perfectly.

p.s. besides: man says that there is option -subfont-text-scale while
mplayer complains:
Error: 'subfont-text-scale' is not a mplayer/mencoder option
command line: -subfont-text-scale
