[MPlayer-users] Giflib 5.0 and MPlayer

Hello,

I've been trying to build MPlayer with Giflib 5.0.4, but at configure
stage it says I have broken versions and it will use some workarounds.
Is this expected? How can Giflib 5.0.4 be "older version" since it's the
latest one?

The build finishes, however. If I modify broken Giflib check to use
correct functions from 5.0.4, it still builds fine.
