Yesterday's snapshot is considered old on this list. I bet you'll have 
no luck to get support on a three year old version, sorry.

There is a command line switch -idle which prevents mplayer from exiting 
but switching to "stop mode" when finished playing. Some kind of 
frontend could have tracked the playing time, wait a few seconds and 
then restart playing from about whete it stopped.
