[MPlayer-users] using mplayer with avisynth input

Hello all.
I notice from a few bug reports that...apparently mplayer supports
(once supported?) avisynth as input, though the documentation is a bit
sparse there.

I know ffmpeg has an optional --enable-avisynth parameter.

So my question is...what is the state of avisynth support?  And does
it require a configure parameter to enable?  How does one use it?
