You might want to ask the libass developers.
But I am sure they will want a sample file, too.
I also suspect that it is wrong of fontconfig to return the
pfm file name instead of the pfb.
Though the fontconfig documentation is really vague on how
to load Type 1 fonts, particularly from memory.
