[MPlayer-users] Audio visualization

Does mplayer have any optional plugins that show an audio visualization?
For example with Windows Media Player when you play an audio only file
it shows something like the output of goom\\\
I found this previous mailing list thread

But it does seem to resolve the question. Any comments would be appreciated.
