[MPlayer-users] maximum resolution: how to extend ?

I am also very interested in this question.  In my case, my sources
are synthetic but I also want to play back 2560x1600 and 4096x2160
resolution files.  How is this possible?  I know that GPUs limit
decode to 2048x2048, but is that going to change?  What about using
multiple streams and synchronizing them to the screen?
