Nope.  That's just streaming/downloading over plain HTTP.  Live555 isn't
needed.  You can just as easily use wget to grab that file and play it
locally.

It seems to be a pitifully unresponsive server, though, at least here. 
I imagine that is the problem (not that "russel" has provided any info
to go on...). Nothing MPlayer can do about that.
