[MPlayer-users] Playlist volume bug?

Hi all!
The problem I (and other ARM users) are experiencing is that: if a
volume level was changed during one song playback, it is not stored
and once the next song is started, mplayer uses the old (default)
volume value.

This error was reported here before, and a patch was proposed:

I hoped it was solved, but mplayer rebuilt from the recent source code
from your repository showed the same result.

So, the question: is it a bug, o is there a way to overcome the problem?
