[MPlayer-users] Question about mpeg2 audio filter

I'm trying to save a stream in PCM format=mpeg2 however there is 
a problem because newest Mplayer says that this format is not yet
supported.
Is it me or nobody can save to file in this format ?
What I want is a file that later then can be played in mpg123 so if you can
give
me a hint how can I do that without a transcoding I would be grateful.
