[MPlayer-users] mplayer is stopped by tricky realaudio server

Hi Folks,

I'm to store a radio broadcast by mplayer. I use

$ mplayer -playlist http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/ram/r3g2.ram
-dumpstream -dumpfile vasarnap.ram

to dump the audio content, but I get

Stream EOF detected

after the standard prelude of the radio station is recorded and the
program stops - see the full log below. Is it possible to circumvent
this? With the official realplayer this problem does not occur. Do
they exchange some secret information, i.e. the realplayer server and
client?
