[MPlayer-users] looping each item in a playlist

Hello,

I would like to run mplayer in slave mode with a playlist that
contains video files.  Each video should loop infinitely until mplayer
is sent a command to advance to the next item in the playlist, if it
is on the second item currently itwill return to the first.  I thought
that something like

mplayer { { file1.mpg -loop 0 } {file2.mpg -loop2 } } -loop 0

might work, but it didn't.  I also tried sending it  "loadfile
file1.mpg" etc, but had trouble getting the looping to work, I kept
getting odd loop numbers on the osd if I followed that with loop 0.
Any advice?
