The strange thing is its in sync for the entire duration in powerdvd and 
windows media player.  There's two DVR boxes:

1. DVR 6412 (120gb)
2. DVR 6416 (160gb)

The older model makes the files mplayer/mencoder has problems with.  The 
newer model does not have the problems.  What can be done to make 
mplayer/mencoder 'sync' the A/V?
