Indeed the svn HEAD has minilibs but not the CVS head. I am guessing
that minilibs provides a subset of the "full" lib function. It is
probably the SVN head checkout is newer than the CVS checkout.

About ld.so.conf, I'm not that sure as I have limited experience with
Linux/Unix systems. From what I know it is used by ld-linux.so or ld.so
to get the appropriate paths for loading .so shared libraries. I think
configure checks it as well when it tests for ld and applies the search
path for all libraries.

Mystery solved, use libdvdnav from mplayerhq svn not the sourceforge
copy for the minilibs.
