[MPlayer-users] choosing the audio bitrate type with mencoder

Hello,

I wonder what the advantages and disadvantages are of choosing a 
constant or a variable bitrate for the audio encoding while creating a 
XviD with mencoder.

Does anybody have an opinion, or knows of an easy-to-read document that 
makes a comparison? Thank you.


My config:
Mac OS X (MacMini Intel)
Encoder: D-Vision, which is basically a GUI for mencoder.
Usual movie player: VLC.
