[MPlayer-users] Playback issues with alsa + ladspa plugin

Hi!
I added a LADSPA plugin (an equalizer) to my /etc/asound.conf and now I
have severe problems when playing a video file with associated 6 channel
audio.
The playback is now choppy, it seems that only a part of the sound is
played, then the system waits a moment and plays the next part.
The problems persist when using vo=null, but when I extracted the audio
using ao=pcm and then played only the audio, everything was fine.
I added the output of mplayer -v:
