Hi All,
The mail attached was sent to this list nearly a month ago, without any
responses from you. Could you please take a look at it? 100s of users
would benefit from a solution.
I just would like to know whether it is the problem of the Codian box,
ot mplayer.
Please use this URL to test (available with HTTP and MMS as well):
rtsp://vcr.vidkonf.niif.hu/rec_video1000_12__4_Megaconference
Thanks you very much.

Hi All,
We are using a Codian IP VCR videoconference recorder/streamer device,
which is capable to stream over RTSP, MMS and HTTP respectively. Works
fine with Windows Media Player, QuickTime and RealPlayer in Windows.
With Linux, videolan plays the stream quite well.
When playing back a specific recording with mplayer, it stucks exactly
when it should open a window and initiate playback.
I use: MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.2 (Linux)
I've attached four log files:
o mplayer_http: msglevel all=9 output when connecting using HTTP
o mplayer_rtsp: msglevel all=9 output when connecting using RTSP
o mplayer_mms: msglevel all=9 output when connecting using MMS
o rtsp.txt: RTSP communication log. However, I do think it is not an
RTSP protocol bug or any other related, but let's see.
The effect is the following:
o mplayer connects to the URL
o media is requested (seems to be alright)
o according to Etherreal, H.263 packets start coming from the Codian
device, but mplayer stucks and nothing happens.
I would be really glad if you could advice me on this. If you found that
the Codian box does something in a wrong way, I'll contact the vendor
itself, but I need more information on the problem. Codian expressed
earlier that they would really like to get this working with mplayer as
they respect *UNIX users as well.
If you need a URL to test with:
rtsp://vcr.vidkonf.niif.hu/rec_video1000_3__1_Megaconference
Thank you very much in advance.
Cheers,
Andras Kovacs
