While the DMX project ( http://dmx.sourceforge.net/dmx-start.html ), is
intended to be used across multiple computers, it seems possible from a
quick reading of the getting started page, to get it to use 2 X servers
on the same machine (in other words the two twinview servers on your 4
output system). This is complete speculation, though, I haven't even
tried getting dual twinview working yet myself.
I'm interested in doing much the same thing as you with 4 monitors on
one machine, so I'd be glad to hear of any progress you make.
