Well, I'm guessing the programmers for MyWay, POBoxes, ComCast,  
Yahoo!, Microsoft and all the other's webmail services didn't deal  
with mailing lists when designing these systems, and designed the  
system around the majority of their users, who probably don't deal  
with mailing lists or with these in-reply-to tags in them. However,  
it is kind of stupid to ignore the specs.
