"MinGW HOWTO" itself is a good instruction (at least for steps I've passed 
through), but it is a bit out of dated. Thus, I'd suggest to whom it may 
concern, to update it in accordance with the latest MPlayer developments. It 
would be really useful doc.

I know and moreover I'm using it, but:

-- it is not reflecting modifications, made in SVN;
-- I'd like to customize MEncoder, I'd like to add a special mode, when it 
only reads the source file and reports format information. At present 
MEncoder haven't such mode.
