[MPlayer-users] dvd subtitles not showing up?

hello,

i have a problem w/ mplayer (both 1.0.8pre and a few weeks more recent
SVN). it is that i cannot watch subtitles in dvd movies under than
those under index 0. i can normally switch among them using 'j' key -
i can see the language and everything but i cannot actually see them.
it is the same w/ vlc. however xine plays them ok.

any ideas?
