I hope nobody gets mad about me re-sending this attachment. Here is the bug
fixed version of the script that properly handles the 5th set of samples,
and has a giant speed improvement for short files, where instead of playing
the window detection file I test to see if it zero-sized first, since
mplayer stalls for 2-3 seconds when it encounters a zero length file. For
short files this meant 5 of these stalls in a row before playback started.
This only works (so far tested) with  lavc for $codec1, since some other
codecs will output zero frame files that are not zero length.
