Usually this is a symptom of mplayer not being able to read quickly
enough from a file/DVD/stream. Try using a larger cache. Add '-cache
1024' or '-cache 2048', etc.

I can play the stream you reference without any problems, but if I use
'-nocache' it does what you describe.

If using a larger cache doesn't seem to help, or it helps but doesn't
fix the problem, then your Internet connection might not be fast enough.

Next time, please send the _entire_ output of mplayer.
