This is actually already the latest release of vlc -- the nightly amd64
svn build from 12 February. Still, I should get back to vlc about it --
mencoder's files play fine in ffplay too.
I'd like to have mencoder work, as I want to encode tv directly to h264
and have the option of streaming it. A friend is getting a dual-core
AMD chip that should be able to do this.
