Please, do not top-post.

The best solution will be to compile mplayer from sources.
1) Obtain mplayer fron svn:
svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/mplayer/trunk mplayer
2) Please carefully read RAEDME file in the root direcotory of the 
sources.
3) Install all necessary devel packages.
4) Compile mplayer as described into README and enjoy!
