XVideo is hardly ever working with fglrx. Either use the opensource
driver (if it works) or try -vo gl (check the manpage for helpful
suboptions). xvidix might be an option, but I think it will not work
with such a new card.
Apart from that, I'd suggest to do yourself a favour and avoid ATI cards
until the change their attitude and either employ at least marginally capable
people to program their drivers or support opensource alternatives.
