[MPlayer-users] MPEG-4 over RTP

I'm using MPlayer to play an MPEG-4 stream from a hardware encoder
over RTP. MPlayer plays the stream flawlessly, so I first want to
say "Thanks"!

However, other players based on libavcodec and LIVE.COM, including
VLC, don't play so flawlessly. They report lots of
[mpeg4 @ 0x6142804]header damaged

errors. The header it's talking about seems to be the VOP header.
Playing files encoded with this hardware encoder play fine in ffplay
and VLC (and of course play fine in MPlayer). I suspect that there's
some hiccup in my MPEG-4 stream which MPlayer corrects in some way, I
just haven't been able to find what that correction might be just yet
(so I can fix the stream). Does anyone have any suggestions for
where to look or what those corrections might be?

Thanks,
Scott
