I agree. Although it would be fun to control mplayer remotely without having 
a shellaccount on that box, adding something like that would open up a 
whole new can of worms (I believe that's the saying). If somebody needs 
that functionality, it's best done with a wrapper script, though it might 
be tricky or impossible to periodically request a screenshot of mencoder 
that's monitoring and encoding a security cam :)
