In tracking down a problem with Mplayer I wrote a small utility to process
the timestamps in a MPlayer rm file and make it playable on RealPlayer - but
it still required some bit fondling of the RMF header with a hex editor as
Mplayer doesn't do a good job (e.g. duration is zero).  If you up to it
I'll provide some help.

Otherwise I'd advise recording in a different format such as WAV - or pipe
output through LAME for MP3

When going through Mplayer I think I came across a note saying PNM
development was effectively stopped when they started using the genuine
RealAudio libraries.  What is the origin of this URL - perhaps there is
another way to tackle it.
