[MPlayer-users] Jumpy output of .avi file after processing

Hi All,
Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

The file intro.avi plays perfectly with mplayer however after processing it 
with mencoder intro.avi -o intro_kino.avi -ovc libdv the intro_kino.avi 
jitters sideways when played.

The message when encoding gives:
