You can also try this:
Recompile MPlayer. Before running make execute:
sed 's/CFLAGS[ ]*=.*/& -fno-strict-aliasing/' mp3lib/Makefile >mp3lib/Makefile.$$ && mv mp3lib/Makefile.$$ mp3lib/Makefile
This should solve the problem.
