i see. actually you did not follow the cvs compilation instructions from the
mplayer websiote and i forgot to tell you. to compile from cvs you need the
mplayer cvs dl and the ffmpeg cvs download. copy a few files (libavcodec and
a few others listed on the mplayer site) then compile mplayer. sorry.
