I have.  Out of curiosity--what processor are you using?

I've got a workaround.  Basically, it consists of assuming that
the last second is trivial and ignoring it.

This only works for about a year, however, and at some point I
decide that enough's enough and wind up screaming about sloppy
coding at 4AM and eventually writing an ad-hoc patch and sending
it to advusers.
