I use alsa-lib > 1.0.4 but my kernel use > 1.0.4 also.

Don't have it but I have /usr/share/alsa/cards/EMU10K1.conf

Did this. I now got missing file error and no sound instead of bad sound.

I already run kernel 2.6.9-rc2
