yes, it looks promising.
anyway, mencoder's old mpeg muxer _is_ somewhat broken, but it will
work (i.e. a/v won't desync altho it won't be dvd or vcd compliant) as
long as you end the filter chain with harddup. without harddup, it
will desync bad if any "duplicate frame" messages appear.
