[MPlayer-users] rip dvd to edit with mac's Final Cut Express

Trying to re-master a DVD using Final Cut Express on a Mac - cut out 
some scenes and add chapter marks.  I couldn't figure out how to rip a 
dvd on the mac, so I am using mPlayer on a windows box.  (I normally run 
mP on Linux, but I am at my mom's on vacation.)

Below is what "works" but has some error messages that make me think it 
can be done better.  Anyone have any suggestions?
