another interesting thing: this 1.5gb avi file that was encoded with 
1.0pre4 cannot be seeked over 1gb with 1.0pre4, but 
dev-CVS-040524-06:00-3.3.2 plays and seeks this file just fine!
i also noticed that 1.0pre4 seems to think that it's a normal avi, 
because it prints "AVI file format detected." but CVS prints "AVI: ODML: 
Building odml index (2 superindexchunks)"
