[MPlayer-users] mplayer problem viewing TV: FC2, bttv

I took an old tuner card off my Windows 98 PC and installed it on my new
Linux workstation (Fedora Core 2). However, I cannot get it to get a signal
from my cable input. Tried with mplayer, and did a channel scan under
tvtuner.
Linux DOES recognize the tuner card (see dmesg output below).. A hardware
probe under KDE shows:
Capture Device: "BT848 Video Capture",
Device Information : "Manufacturer: Brooktree Corporation", "Driver : bttv"
Any ideas ?
